yeah.. last night at a watch party.. i was ready for Arch just to take over. Quinn holds onto the ball too much.. Not giving Cam Williams an excuse though.. he got exposed over and over at RT.. the broadcast kept mentioning Banks, but he really only got beat twice.. one which Quinn stood there like a statue for 7 secondsSo, Arch is taller, faster, stronger, has MUCH better footwork, and throws a better ball.
Yet, I was a Ewers supporter because experience, patience, and decision making are very important.
But I just saw Ewers throw to well-covered receivers short of the line to gain in multiple situations.
We’ve discussed how Ewers sidearm slings off/balance when he checks to his second and third options. He’s regressed in that vein like Javy Baez regressed swinging at sliders after his almost-MVP season.
There’s really no reason not to start Arch now.
You don't? Who does?We don’t even control our own destiny to the CCG. Pathetic.

honestly.. it works out better this way.. run the table.. miss the CCG weekend to rest then host a home game..We don’t even control our own destiny to the CCG. Pathetic.
Did you think going to the SEC would be a cake walk?We don’t even control our own destiny to the CCG. Pathetic.
Quinn been a mess the last 2 weeks. He is created his own pressure with bad pocket presence. Not to say the OL was great, but Ewers stressed the protection. It’s not about his numbers, but how uncomfortable he looks out there right now. Not sure I can remember a fall like thisyeah.. last night at a watch party.. i was ready for Arch just to take over. Can definitely work that way. Get a bye the CCG week. May have to play two in a row then but it may well be worth it.honestly.. it works out better this way.. run the table.. miss the CCG weekend to rest then host a home game..
No, it doesn't. I'll post later on this, but you are far better off being the winner or loser of the CCG if you are in the SEC or B1G.honestly.. it works out better this way.. run the table.. miss the CCG weekend to rest then host a home game..
It's really not. In most years the SECCG partipants get:Can definitely work that way. Get a bye the CCG week. May have to play two in a row then but it may well be worth it.
That's one of the flaws in the new system.
how would you know if this is the very first year of an expanded playoff.. Judging by semi-final games.. teams both look rusty playing NYD.. they look better the following week for the FinalNo, it doesn't. I'll post later on this, but you are far better off being the winner or loser of the CCG if you are in the SEC or B1G.
Fair enough, but the last few years everyone was bitching about the MLB byes. But this year 3 of 4 advanced.how would you know if this is the very first year of an expanded playoff.. Judging by semi-final games.. teams both look rusty playing NYD.. they look better the following week for the Final
Non CCG participant(s) gets a 3 week rest as well. They will have to play one additional game. The real bummer may well be the loser of the CCG. Only 2 week rest after what is usually a slugfest. But, teams are going to have to put together a series of several games in a row anyway. I don't see several games in a row as a problem. Many of these players had to do it in their high school playoffs. No weeks off in those. Hell, they have to play 6 playoff games in a row here in Texas if they play in the finals at Jerry's World. It's really not. In most years the SECCG partipants get:
- Winner - 3.5 week rest, then play winner of 8 v 9 in a favorable NY6 bowl location.
- Loser - no. 5 seed, play the G5 CC at home, then play the B12 champ.
Yeah, he didn't get an invitation to the Manning camp like the "soughtafters" did. Kid's a baller though. The worst thing about this week is now I have to watch the most likable player in the SEC and root against the great Diego Pavia
No doubt. That is definitely one incentive to win the CCG. But the loser of the CCG doesn't get that.Fair enough, but the last few years everyone was bitching about the MLB byes. But this year 3 of 4 advanced.
I think it is a fair assumption that you are better getting 3.5 weeks of rest, and being able to prep for 2 teams for 10 days then 1 team for 15 days is the best option.
That's a good point. They may or may not get the home game. As @Thiefery pointed out above it will be interesting to see if the 3.5 week off is good or bad. I can see that getting rest would be good.Non CCG participant(s) gets a 3 week rest as well. They will have to play one additional game. The real bummer may well be the loser of the CCG. However, this will only apply to the SEC and B1G since they are the only conferences that will get 3-4 teams in the playoff. If the second place teams in any other conference happen to make the playoff, they'll only get a 2 week break...unless the second place team isn't the CFP representative. I can't imagine that happening at all.
Then win it. If you are SEC or B1G you can then get the coveted no. 5 seed.No doubt. That is definitely one incentive to win the CCG. But the loser of the CCG doesn't get that.
