Flatulent Friday

Tons of drugs at comic con tho.
Probably. Tons of drugs in NYC. Tons of drugs in every college in America. Difference is my daughter is 21 now.

My kids were somewhere in the 9-12 y/o range then and if you're a parent with the slightest hint of responsibility and morality you don't want your young kids around that shit - especially on the direct route to and from school when they oftentimes are making that trip without an adult.

Sitting in the gym parking lot. Just watched this dude pull up, walk 100 feet to a bush where he grabbed something out of it then he got back in his car and left. 😳
was it two birds?

The fact that you'd have to be on drugs to go to comic con?:noidea:
Or in the case of my daughter, an art college student whose college major is related to many of the things presented at a Comic Con.

It seems like there is a ripoff of Comic Con for everything now

I think tying drugs to art college is more true than Comic Con.

I've only been to 1, and while I agree a majority of the people there are weird...I don't think drug usage is high during the actual event/con

pretty much every city has some kind of comic con...

cons are popular for a reason.

You're probably right; but @beardown07 still landed a pretty good joke about it.

definitely not for everyone.

the crowd ad lines alone is enough to keep me from going to another one. People are nuts.

people sleeping in line to go to a certain thing...that ain't my thing.

did get to meet some authors I really like though, which made it worth it to me

One of my daughter's highlights was meeting one of the Cyanide & Happiness artists and even got a personalized comic from him.

one of mine was the xkcd/what if guy. Good panel, good discussion. I really enjoyed it. Nice dude.

Ouch!

Really, though; she's genuinely a very talented artist. She was winning city-wide art contests in grade school. Her high school art teacher emphatically encouraged her to attend an elite art college because my daughter's artistic creativity and execution was beyond anything she had ever taught. I just hope she gets a well paying job out of it because she's racking up insane amounts of debt attending an out-of-state private specialty college.

Tried living in the sticks once. I liked the calmness myself, but it was way too much highway driving and I hated the well water even an all the filters and reverse osmosis stuff. Was a lot like permanent camping. And my lot was HUGE. It was like a started a landscaping business and I was my only customer. Took up way too much of my time.

Haha. I kid.

Yer preaching to the choir, brotha. I was that same kid, minus parental support. Now it's mostly a hobby.
