AP Poll is interesting ...

Oregon
Ohio State
Penn State
Indiana

In the SEC you have:
Texas
Alabama
Georgia
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Tennessee

2 of the teams above are going to miss the playoffs.
That should be the loser of Texas-A&M and the loser of Georgia-Tennessee. I expect those losers to be Aggie and UGA.

It sickens me that Ole Miss will make the playoffs

I think most people outside of Michigan fans had a feeling Michigan was gonna be a mediocre 8-4 team at best, turns out they are going to be a bad 6-6 team instead.

Is USC even really a national brand? You could say they were in the Peter Carroll era but right now even if they were a 1 or 2 loss team instead of a 5 loss mess they really only have west coast appeal

People still watch USC. The game against LSU drew 8.5 million and the game against Michigan drew 6.3 million. When they are good (or projected to be good) people tune in. I'll be curious to see what the SC/ND game does at the end of the year. Even with ND going up against bad SC teams in the past the numbers have been pretty huge.

Sagarin is better.

I'm fine with saying Oregon's schedule is light. Obviously the committee doesn't care.
It isn’t even close to being as light as IU’s…regardless of their tOSU outcome. You’ve got the Boise game. They don’t and won’t have a second one even close to that.

Dude Ole Miss has to play the best 2 win team ever! Mississippi State

That was more because of LSU and Michigan than USC

The ESPN SOS is the worst to use, because they base it on their FPI. Which is pretty terrible. Look no further than Auburn being 31.
Follow my link ... they have updated how they do it. FPI is a different metric.

It's honestly embarrassing that someone here would try to flex based on the ESPN ranking.
LOL ... you actually quoted the Sagarin ratings that showed, per your words, that you have a terrible schedule. Talk about a flex.

Gonna be hard to convince people that a metric that has Clemson #12, USC in the top 20 and Florida & Kansas in the top 30 with Auburn just outside of the top 30 isnt anything but dog shit.

You grossly underestimate the power of the name on the jersey

If say 2 loss Texas/Texas A&M are up against 1 loss Indiana for one of the last spots with 2 losses, the Texas school is absolutely getting it
If Texas a&m has 2 losses, they're the SEC champion

Reasonable take. We are going to see how good any of the teams are when they play each other.

Yep the main stupidity of these mega conferences is the hilariously unbalanced schedules.

They need to have like a unbiased schedule maker for the conferences so the conferences can't strategically make schedules to purposely try to maximize the teams they can get into the playoff.
I mean, could anyone have anticipated that Indiana would be this good?

At some point schedules have to matter or one year we could have a bunch of ACC and B12 teams in.

Well we obviously aren't going to have a bunch of ACC or Big 12 teams in.

I think they conference champion auto bid and the G5 Auto Bid are both stupid at this point.

Bet the G5 stipulation gets changed the moment we get some random unmarketable 2 loss G5 like Bowling Green or some shit as the team.

If you want a truly unbiased SOS metric, and just based on results Colley's is the way to go.

Weird, since I said Oregon's schedule was light.

Committee doesn't care.

I am not sure I understand what you are referring to. Their SOS is not related to their FPI rating.
