How so? List of goalies plus last annual salary:

Olaf Kolzig $5.45M
Michael Neuvirth $822k
Tomas Vokoun $1.5M
Braden Holtby $6.1M
Vitek Vanacek $717k
Darcy Kuemper $5.25M
Charlie Lindgren $1.1M

Olie was below average his final two years. Holtby left a year after he won the Stanley Cup, never really doing well after that. Kuemper was the 14th highest paid goalie and was 30-13 last season, so I'd say it's about right. Ain't no Carey Price / Roberto Luongo crap.

What the fuck Kuemper stats are you quoting? He won 13 games last year and was 40th out of 46 goalies who played 30+ games in save percentage.

The league is in a sad state when the two most-winning-est franchises in NHL history are league doormats several years in a row. The Atlantic standings should be inverted.

I had to look it up because it seemed unbelievable that they would leave here to go to another place with low attendance..

It seems like that Utah arena (built for bball) only has 11k 'unobstructed' seats so I think they are selling out what they can until renovations take place

I could be wrong but thats what I saw

Sry 13 and 14. Looked at the wrong stat line. Whatever. They shipped him and him salary out of town.

Caufield is a born & raised Wisconsin kid who played college hockey at UW. ...That's the resume of my favorite non-Red Wings.
 
Likely end of December, it’s fine. Plus he has all of next year.

I’d never thought he would break the record this year anyway. Players, young and old, get dinged up, and we’ve become spoiled by all the 40- and 50-goal seasons.
 
Has to be discouraging to be a bottom dweller again for the Wings, Sabres, Sens, Habs, Jackets, Blackhawks, Sharks, and Ducks.
