Aaron rogers got his gm fired

Long established very good QBs with their original teams tend to struggle when traded to a new team. Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson, and now Aaron Rodgers.

Rogers is a useless old fart. Biggest mistake the Jets ever made, but I hate the Jets so WGAF? The owner is just as big a tool as Rogers.

Old Joe Montana didn't seem to have that problem though.

On the other hand, QBs who started out shitty, improve greatly when traded to a new team: Sam Darnold, Jared Goff.

I think that’s because when they get to that point, they’re either washed (Ryan); their team is tired of their bullshit (Wilson); or both (Rodgers).

Probably more accurate to say that Zach Wilson got Joe Douglas fired. Unfortunately for them, it was an all-time bad year to have a top pick and draft a QB.

The Bears should trade for Rodgers.:harbaugh:

In his 11 starts last year, the Zach Attack had a 4-7 record. This year, A-A-Ron is 3-8.

Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, whether or not he was cooked when he showed up (might have been), a 40-year old QB coming off a season-ending lower body injury is going to be crap his first year back. Once the Met Life turf monster claimed Rodgers' Achilles, it was just a matter of time. Their realistic season to compete was last year.

He wasn’t great in the year before the Achilles injury either. Father Time is undefeated.

He would have been better than Wilson. I don't know that he would have been good enough to make a deep run, but last year was their real chance. Losing Rodgers to a season-ending leg injury so early effectively torpedoed both seasons. And the trade for Rodgers was because Wilson was a shit show.

NY has a particular affinity for overpaying for our veteran HOF cast-offs. In 9 years, The Jets will probably trade 25 draft picks to the Packers for Jordan Love, provided Green Bay pays for 50% of his hernia surgery…
