Fuck the recruiting thread, this deserves its own. #1 player in the nation QB Bryce Underwood flipping to Michigan!

There's a reason Underwood made that joke post about turning down Michigan's 10.5 million dollar deal like a week ago -- because it was nonsense.
Yeah it was too low. He was shopping the offer.

Arguing with MnB on this is pointless, in his mind it's all about the culture of some bullshit and the money was just a bonus for him.
I'm sure his parents forced him to go there for their music program, and to play football on the side.

Oregon should do a power move and swing in with some more of that Uncle Phil money and swoop him away
The problem is -- the guy who funded this deal for Underwood is worth $160 BILLION more than Phil Knight.

He's doing all he can to try to spin it that Underwood is currently committed to Michigan for any reason but the money.
Harbaugh is the reason he wasn't a lock to UM. Belleville is 10-15 minutes from UM. Underwood has a video as a kid where is asked where he wants to go to college and says Michigan. Harbaugh didn't show him the love other schools were.

As much as I'm not a fan of Moore right now as coach. He is the reason UM even had a chance for Underwood. He put in the work rebuilding the relationship with him and his parents. OBVIOUSLY money is a huge part too. The fact he was born and raised a Michigan fan had a little to do with it as well, as he going to get millions no matter where he went.

I think that spin job is hilarious, didn't want to play at Michigan cause Harbaugh but is suddenly running there to play for a coach and his staff who have looked way in over their heads thus far.

Money is the vast majority if not the total reason, bottom line. (Vast majority = the rest just not wanting to play for Brian Kelly)

I take HS GPAs of highly rated FB recruits with a extreme grain of salt.
You can say that -- but these High Schools don't have to give these kids A's to make them eligible to play. I'd be more skeptical of the kids with GPA's right at the line making them eligible to play.

That being said -- Have you found a 5 star recruit that signed with Michigan (pre-Underwood, as I don't know his grades) that didn't have a ridiculously high GPA in HS? Gary is the lowest I found at 3.7.

Michigan had to fix a 'fractured relationship' with Bryce Underwood left by Jim Harbaugh

As it's been reported throughout the process, Moore was the main person who spearheaded the recruitment of Underwood. But it wasn't going to be easy. Of course, Underwood was an LSU commit and he showed loyalty to Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan, but Michigan never quit -- because it had a ton of ground to make up.

Underwood, who grew up wanting to play for Michigan, felt slighted by former head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss who didn't make Underwood feel like a priority. Top Belleville product said the Wolverines were going down south to find their future quarterback instead of looking at what they had in their own backyard -- Underwood himself.

My man already has his own website built and ready for pre-orders. For just $1,900, you can own, 1 of 19, autographed Bryce Underwood cards. Or if you'd like a t-shirt, it is the low, low price of $50.

I preordered all 19, so you're out of luck

Yes I saw the article and figured that's what you were referencing, it's nothing more than a spin job to try to frame this as anything but a pure $$$ acquisition. Michigan Man can never just admit that's what it is, even though everyone is ok with it being that, thats the game now.

I live about 10 minutes from Belleville. I've watch Underwood in person a half dozen times in High School. The relationship between Underwood and UM has been a story here long before this year. It isn't a "spin job". Underwood has been a stud since his freshman year when he threw for 3,000 yards, 39 touchdowns and only 4 int's, while being named Freshman of the Year in all of High School.

He was truly never on Michigan's radar under Harbaugh, Moore changed that.

I don't care how you try to spin it. 12 million or whatever is what changed his stance on Michigan. It's Hilarious thinking Moore or any coach on that staff legit had a big hand in any of this.
