GAME 7 Bama @ OU • 6:30c • ABC

I was content with beating GT and making the playoffs without going through the SECCG.

Congrats Oklahoma fans! Your team wanted it more

Changes needed on the Capstone
Don’t know if word got out but it was announced this week that Coach Venables wife had her cancer return. I knew the team would play for them but sure didn’t expect this. There is not a better family in this country, so happy for them.

Damnit. Oklahoma you have held Alabama to 3 points, it is almost time to hold the 4's up. No way Sooner fans expected this.

That is awful and puts football in perspective.
Go Venables Family!
Fuck Cancer!

It's a good point. The BEST season by a first year HC after Bear Bryant retired was Ray Perkins in 1983, and that was an 8-4 team. Of course, Deboer inherited a stacked roster, and Saban inherited John Parker Wilson at QB. Deboer is in over his head IMO. He better beat Auburn next week and beat Illinois in the Citrus Bowl!
It’s year one. Might not be the games predicted, but 3 losses were pretty well expected. Coming from Washington in the Pac to Bama in the SEC is a different game, different culture and different expectations. Kirby looked over his head in year one too.

Serious question here. If the Sooners win this game, will the fans storm the field? Didn't know if that was a thing because Oklahoma has been there before.

ngl, pretty hilarious how the media was convinced that Vandy was good now (even tho they lost to Georgia State) b/c they beat this Bama team

It’s been rough around here man, I wouldn’t blame them.

A win like this can make an otherwise tough season easier to swallow. Blowing out Auburn in Auburn and ruining their natty hopes in 2006 with UGA coming off losing 4 of their previous 5 games including to both Vandy and Kentucky is still one of my favorite games
