Pretend to work Monday before Thanksgiving

annnnnnnd.... I was wrong...

I guess my email wasn't working and now I have a bunch of things to do since they all just now "came in"

My last job was like that.

We had a weekday holiday party and after a few of us split, we were in the parking lot at like 8 PM talking about going home to work some more hours to finish off our billable work.

I think that's fine in certain situations (if you're really interested in the work, really motivated to increase your salary, etc) but that wasn't the case, and I chose to move on.

But, TBH, even if you hate it and every day is a slog, it's your life, and it really isn't anybody's concern except for yours.

That said ... that kind of company is pretty run of the mill, the norm...

Always told folks on-site Exchange servers are the best option…2016 and 2019 Exchange EOS is 2025.

Sigh…day gonna fucking DRAG if I can’t get busy! :gaah:

That's really a contradiction.

The problem is that most if not the overwhelming majority of people want that, and it leads to a flawed, unbalanced labor system ... but I won't get too into it, like most things in life ... it is what it is.

And like I said ... I've seen it all, most extremes in terms of pay to workload/stress/liability (or lack of), you name it.

I have room to take on more work if it's the right situation.
 
Just got back from Rocky Top football tournament. The boys lost to the champ by a td. The usual shenanagins with kids way bigger than their ages. Whatever.
 
Gonna need to make Wednesday count. I want to get my mower cleaned up and put away for the winter, which is process then get the garage floor cleaned. Forecast is for rain so the garage floor may have to wait. Wife also wants me to clean the windows. I don't mind doing that but would prefer to do that in the spring

Yea we went 2 and 1 and boat raced the two legit teams we played. Lost to the champ and we called it against this team. They had 4 or 5 150 pound kids and they were cheap shotting our kids and the refs werent calling it. The tournament director made it a NC rather than a loss. We were still driving to score to tie it when they absolutely late hit our qb and knocked him out and thats when we called it.

Not to be a dick, but just curious why these events even happen. I've always been content playing local competition at those ages.
