Boss sounded disappointed in conversation with someone else/was planning to ask me why I didn't apply for a promotion internally before finding out I had and the site was just screwy before scheduling an interview.

I mean even if I don't get it that's at least gotta be a good sign that she cleared wanted me to at least try for it.

Nah, that one is the boss of this boss in question. I really like this one, we actually communicate directly to each other so little to the point where I had my first one-one-one conversation with her over a Teams chat that we've had in two months, and I absolutely know it's because she's got a million and a half things on her plate with a whole company merger and just the general shit that comes with her director title and she just views me as someone she doesn't have to worry about and just let's me do my thing while worrying about everything else (and I would know if I'm doing something wrong or would need her intervention)

I’ve come to realize that I actually don’t really care for turkey all that much so I decided to do an apps & sides day of food & football. Just have 2 friends over to be lazy with me all day. I politely declined a few invites because I didn’t want to travel, deal with crowded homes or in the case of my SIL, deal with the parking situation at her townhouse. I know that doesn’t sound very nice, but it quite literally puts me in such a mood, I hate going to her place for anything.

Same, Fam. It's just me and The Boy, so we're doing chicken strips, Brussels sprouts with bacon, and a box of stove top. That's the only Thanksgiving food he even likes.

Got a 16 pounder brining. Will start cooking at about noon. Fell short on the booze, so I have to make a run this morning.

It should be about 27 degrees when the Dolphins-Packers game starts. I feel badly for the Dolphins.
