Has your opinion of Sherrone Moore changed?

  • Yes, he deserves time to develop his program

  • No, this was just a fluke win and doesn't change my overall opinion

Rightfully so, the postmortem on "The Game" will be focused on Ryan Day, Ohio St's failure to beat Michigan, the fight, and implications for the playoff seating. But here is a question that I have not seen on here:

Has Sherrone Moore put himself into a different light for Michigan fans? He arguably will never need to pay for a meal or a beer in Ann Arbor again just for yesterday's game. But the bigger question, have fans changed their view on him? To say the cupboard was bare in Ann Arbor would be an understatement. Michigan was supposed to ride its defense, their strength. The defense was injury riddled and disappointing. For several games Michigan didn't even yield more than 100 yards passing among a carousel of no name QB's. We heard things like Moore is just a place holder, an impulsive hire, or it was too late to hire anyone else when Harbaugh left for the NFL. He has two wins against Ohio St, the top rated QB committed. Does this change your view?

Idk if you feel better about him, but the win certainly buys him another year or two

It doesn't change much for me in that they still need to hit the portal and find a new OC, but it makes me feel a lot better about Wink as a DC. I do feel like if we had stuck with Warren, we might have gotten another win or two (Illinois, Wash)... but I can't blame them for seeing what Tuttle or Orji could do. At least recruiting's looking really good. I think next year is when we can really start to get a feel for him as the HC. But I do feel better about it than I did a few weeks ago, even before Saturday's game

I'm not a UM fan, but I still think he is a fucking idiot and a child. Did you see him waiving to tOSU fans at the end of the game? He's the fucking head coach, and he's pulling that sort of shit. No wonder the trash ass students act like they do, they are led by a crybaby retard.

The one positive from this game is he'll stay there a little longer most likely.

This game does not change my opinion much. Moore had no say in the fact that Coach Day tried to run the ball at Michigan's defensive front. It was just Day's hubris to try and out power the Wolverines. When it was apparent that it wasn't gonna happen, Day didn't adjust... much... or at all.

Moore is the same coach that looked at his QB room in the offseason and said, "Yeah, we good."
I am not sure when Underwood will play, but I hope Moore has a better than average offensive line for Underwood.
Now, left to wonder what happens to Jadyn Davis with Underwood coming in. See the previous line about the offensive line.

Moore was an awesome Sooner and good guy I'm pulling for him.

Not sure that is a good thing. He is now 2-0 against Ohio.

Prior to being our HC -- he was also one of our best recruiters.

I think the OC definitely gets another year after y'all beat us.

I think how poor our WR and QBs were this year. I'm not sure you can even judge our OC. I'd still rather have an established OC

Day started out 2-0 against michigan, too. It's one thing to be a recruiter, it's another to be a coach. Going 7-5 this year? Not too great.

I'm not sure how problematic the receivers really are, I feel like playcalling and QB play has been the bigger issue. I don't think Kirk had a bad gameplan against Michigan, getting Warren into 3rd and mediums where he could convert. Warren had some guys open that he missed badly (Hansen on 3rd down, Morris on 3rd down, the Sawyer interception). But on the other hand, it didn't really feel like Michigan had anything creative going on. Only weird thing we saw later was the Bell pass.

I wouldn't be opposed to demoting him back to QB coach or whatever offensive coaching position, but I don't think he's ready to call plays yet.

The lack of creativity would be what would have me worried. I get the WRs are shit and the QBs arent good but that's when you really do need to get creative, for the most part they didn't even try.

The outcome of that game should have looked much, much closer to Bama-Oklahoma with how dumbshit Kelly was calling plays. I was shocked that they hardly tried anything to get a spark.

Been saying it all year man. If I was in charge of the offense, I would have been running a lot of split back formations and trying to get Edwards more involved in the passing game. Not just screens/swing routes, but wheel/angle routes. It just doesn't feel like they do much to build off their base plays or try to implement things that look similar. Some of their most successful plays have been one off/trick plays, not something you can really go back to regularly. I also feel like Michigan hasn't been running enough play action, and that goes back to 2023 as well.

Not involving Edwards heavily in the passing game was a big error that's for sure.

My question is how much are they going to actually trust Underwood to air it out, i'm assuming there's no way he's coming to sit on the bench for a year? They might bring in some rinky dink vet in the portal but that will be for more insurance purposes.
