I think they're sticking to making a CCG game mattering.

They need to extend the conferences regular season.

They don’t seem to give as many kudos for H2H as much as some of us do. Just guessing that they also don’t want to disincentivize playing in/losing the ccg…unless blown out.

H2H is not the end all be all for the committee. Its only used as a tiebreaker

Bama have themselves to blame. Losing three games puts you at the mercy of the committee, and they didn't feel merciful toward Bama today.

Don't like it? Win the games they're supposed to win and put themselves in position to not be left to such mercy.

I think the biggest takeaway here is the committee boxed themselves in with all the “can’t be penalized for playing in conference championships game.” I agree with that statement, but not absolutely. Lot of disparate schedules and all data points should be evaluated
