Would people watch an NIT with next top ranked teams? or including conference champs that didnt make the CFP

12. UNLV or 10-3 Marshall (Sun Belt Champs next highest ranked champ in AP)
to play 4. South Carolina

8. Illinois
9. Syracuse
to play 1. Alabama

7. Missouri
10. Army
to play 3. Ole Miss

11. Colorado
6. Iowa State
to play 2. Miami

do the same Home game for highest seeds
rotate the next couple rounds to the Holiday, Alamo, Vegas, Music City, Independence, Citrus

When Players are opting out en masse, it doesn't matter what format you have.
It sucks.

If it takes care of that problem, then great.

First of all thats how we got FBS and FCS in the first place.

how do you think they do it? All group of 6 champs and 6 at large? 6 champs and the runner ups? 6 champs and next best 6? same committee or different?

Just got through posting the same thought in the other thread. Ultimately, it would be 3 levels with the current FCS and a split of the current D1 into two levels. Give more teams a chance to win something.

The P4 becoming Div. 4 and having their playoffs. Div. 1 FBS teams(G5) having their playoffs. FCS will remain the same.
