Transfer Portal

He was a big recruit but could never get on the field. I loved him coming out of HS. I think he might be a locker room cancer and fell out of favor with the coaches.

It appears he only saw the field due to other OU WR's having injuries.

That's the thing with some of these 4* recruits. They're an (early developer) man-child in high school, but peak and don't develop any further once they get to college. Not to mention the overall speed and physicality of the college game increases exponentially.

OU to ECU? 👀

That's a huge red flag.

When it comes to transfers, give me a guy that was overlooked in high school (not fully developed), went to a smaller program, then developed into a great player with a few years of eligibility left.
That's who collectives should throw money at.

Not a highly rated player out of high school, who went to a big program, then sat the bench for 3 or 4 years.

We just got 2 of those guys in the portal at WR so we shall see.

Which guys?

NVM I found them

Keontez Lewis and Isaiah Sategna

I think one meets the criteria, not so much the other.

If you're gonna rebuilt your team with transfers having only one or 2 years eligibility, then you'd better be Bill Snyder quality coach. He literally built his teams from JUCO's.

Don't forget Javonne Gibson from Arkansas Pine Bluff

Sydir from Texas to LSU. The tigers are killing the portal this year.

Makes sense with the Kelly hire

Ohio State bound, he definitely is a type of back we don't have on the roster, a nice piece

Runs hard and is a good teammate. (Atleast he did that here) Sucks to lose him but I think ya’s will like him.

We are gonna need bodies on the DL with the departures, not sure what to think of this guy he did have 18.5 TFL last year be it at FCS.

Odd place for him to go with Sellers there who was only a Fresh this year.

Very strange. Sellers looked very good as a true freshman in the SEC. Once he becomes a better passer he will be hard to stop

Lets gooooooo

So bizarre to me that any pass catching TE wants to go to Ohio. They will end up being like the 6th option for the offense.

The guy had 685 yards last season -- I don't know the single season record for Ohio, but I'd guess it isn't far off from that. Definitely a nice get for Ohio though.
