The Rose Bowl has historically been a destination for Ohio State and their fans every January. They've been running the B1G before Oregon arrived. A trip to Pasadena is nothing for Ohio State

A neutral site where both teams and conferences have been playing on January 1st for over 100 years. Then we were off to Dallas and Atlanta to likely play in opponents backyards

Seems this is a plausible scenario the CFB world forgot to iron out when they put together the bracket. Major flaw in their playoff ranking and bracket. Another reason the system needs a complete overhaul and revamp for next year and year's moving forward. We can't have this mistake happening again and we can't punish the #1 team in the country for going undefeated and winning their conference championship. No other sport have I seen such an asinine playoff ranking setup.

In 2001, the Seattle Mariners were 116-46 ... the Arizona Diamondbacks were 92-70 ... the New York Yankees were 95-65? The Seattle Mariners were 20 Games ahead of their nearest rival. Who won the World Series? Arizona beat New York 4 Game to 3. Quit Whining and wear your avy with pride.

While I agree that we didn’t deserve a bye, that was the way the rules worked out. In the end you would lose the NC

How is that Nostradamus? Ohio State and Oregon were the top 2 teams in this playoff. Ducks beat an overrated Texas team and they beat either QBless Georgia team or beat Penn State again

The Bulldogs beat Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl a few years ago.

UGA has won playoff games in LA(2x), Indianapolis, Miami and Atlanta. Good teams can win anywhere

You didn't make it out of the playoffs. Good thing you didn't play Michigan, we beat ohio state and Alabama (two teams you would have lost to). Transitive Properties tell us you would have gotten 3 first downs against Michigan (and zero points).

Hasn't happened?

In 2007 the Patriots went into the Super Bowl at 17-0 and lost the Super Bowl. They were the only 1 loss team in the NFL. They did not get credit for a "shared" Super Bowl.

Tickets were $10 for some of them. I don’t think the powers that be will see that as success
 
The west coast has Las Vegas, Glendale, LA, Pasadena, maybe even Levi Stadium.

Meanwhile the South has, New Orleans, Atlanta, Miami and yet every game seems to be in Atlanta
