Texpectations: Longhorn Superthread

Not sure how true this is, but apparently the futures line for Ohio State - Texas was Texas -1. Flipped to Ohio State -5.5 after the quarterfinal games.

That's a massive line change in 24hrs.

I expect it to be a close one, probably pretty high scoring.

I absolutely hate this match-up. I don’t see Texas putting up a lot of pts in this game. Defense is going to have to dominate. Best match-up on paper is the Texas DL vs OSU OL. I believe Texas needs to dominate that match-up to win this game.

tosu has been on a roll.. hasn't been challenged once so far in the CFP.. and against really good teams.

I don't.. I was hoping for this matchup as soon as the field was revealed. tosu plays you straight up and are as we have seen over the past month, great when they are executing. They have a cheat code in a freshman at WR and the opposite WR looks to be a 1st Rd player too.

But they still have WIll Howard at QB.. I'll take my chances, we all have to at this point. We are true underdogs for the first time all season.. I'm ready to see what Sark and this team has because if they come out flat, un focused this will be an ass whipping usually reserved for ou (in the postseason).

I'm excited man, I know my two friends who are Bucknuts alumnus are as well.. This is what it's all about.

I got faith in my Horns..

Howard has been the best QB in the playoffs and it isn’t close based on competition, but to be honest I don’t trust any of the QBs in the final 4. All have been inconsistent. Offense is a worry. This is the best defense Texas has seen this year and they have broken 20 pts in regulation just once in the last 4 games. Not exactly coming in on a hot streak

Still don’t know what to think about that game. Total rollercoaster of emotions watching that one. Never seen units play at such high level and so shitty in a singular game. That is what has me fretting this match-up. The only thing consistent about the Texas offense is inconsistency. It’s almost a lock their will be a good quarter of offense and an absolute shit show on offense for a quarter (99.9% it’s the 3Q), the question is what about the other 2 quarters

I guess his agent has some recent unexpected debts he needs to pay off? :dhd: I would assume a re-neg or 'extension' would be incoming anywho?

NFL team would need to throw at least 50% more per year to lure him imo.

Why? NIL/portal has soured a few HC's at the college level. Might have more to do with how much farther they end up going in this playoff and how it ends.
 
Whats going on there? Rumors of Sark going to NFL. SMU taking President.
