Shedeur Sanders and Travid Hunter will not attend the NFL Draft in Greenbay and instead do their own party.

Is a team really going to waste a top draft pick on Sanders?

“We’re going to do it in Boulder, Colorado, and celebrate it with the fans in the gymnasium,” Sanders said while promoting a new season of Coach Prime. “We’re going to pack the house. It’s going to be phenomenal. But those two will probably go in the first two to three picks.”

Sanders is rated near the top in almost every ranking (Pro Football Focus has him in the 40s, everyone else has him top 10). I'm not sold on him either, but there's two things working for him: 1) most of the teams at the top of the draft need a QB, B) even if he's not a "top" talent, he's probably the second best QB available in the draft. And I don't think he (or Can Ward) is regarded as low as Kenny Pickett was coming out of college (2022 was a pretty bad class outside of Purdy). I don't think he's going top 3, but someone is going to take a crack at him in the top 10.

There are rumors that Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers both could end up with multiple million dolllar deals out of the portal and play one more year. If that happens the pool of candidates is cut by a third with Ward, Sanders and Milroe being the highest rated QBs in the draft. At that point someone definitely takes a chance on him.

Yes...with his name alone they will sale merch. and even tickets to games.

Yep!

Yep!

How fast is he? Maybe even pick him up for another position?!?!

If he's as athletic as his name would suggest, plus that name which is well known...he'll draw interest to whichever team picks him up.

Shows they know nothing about talent. How many actual recrutiers or GM's are looking at him?

This is a year to trade 1st round picks if you're looking for a QB. Get 3 QB's for half the price of Sheduer. All three will better. Ward is decent enough but not so good he is worth a first pick overall.

lol...that always works out for that 1st season. But after a 3 game skid and starting out 2 - 6, what then?

You guys have convinced me the NFL needs me. Two years ago, the Jets took a 40 year old aaron rogers. Two years later and a 42 year old rogers has left the Jets with nothing. I could have saved them some pain and embarassment.

Anyone taking Sanders in the first round is done for the rest of this decade. Any team that takes him in the first round will take 5 years to recover from that decision.

This isn't a good QB class, I agree. It's Ward and Sanders, and both of them are probably not going to be as good as the top two or three guys next year. That being said, this is the NFL, and teams need QBs. And the teams that need QBs are at the top of the draft. Once one of them goes, the domino falls and some team that was hoping to take Sanders in the second round panics and pulls the trigger at 9. I think he *should* go somewhere in the late first/early second round, but it doesn't take much to get a GM jumpy.

Sanders may not be elite at the NFL level but chances are he can be good to very good, just below elite.

He needs a good OL and good receivers and he could be a good player.

Absolutely someone will waste a top draft pick on Shedouche. The hype machine hasn't even started to crank along yet. Wait until after the superbowl and then hear how dominant he looks without pads or defenders. Forget what we have seen on the field!

We haven't even seen what teams have or will contact Deion for a HC spot. It's going to happen, and if that team has a top 3 pick you all know what is going to happen. Draft Hunter then trade future picks to move up and get Shedouche.

Hype is all I have seen. I can't wait to find out which team(s) show interest.

The media is in love with Deion...they always have been. His son doens't have the charisma nor the skills. His buddy Travis is a better baller.

Of course he doesn't, that's why he has needed to play for daddy since his youth football days. Same with Jr in the secondary. If not for daddyball all the way through Colorado, no one would know who the two kids are.

Now that isn't to say Shedeur doesn't have talent. He clearly has a strong arm and a decent touch. But while he would have been benched by any coach who doesn't share a name with him, Douche was allowed to keep going out there and putting up "stats".

Makes sense. Deion coaching on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL makes more sense to me than his son being a QB.

I remember Joe Thomas skipped the draft to go fishing
A few subtle differences:

Joe just went fishing because he didn't want to deal with the unnecessary drama
He went with his dad and didn't hold his own draft party and charge admission for it (Sanders and co will do this)
Shadeur is a DOUCHE and Joe is not

Clearly you haven't seen his watches though! That will completely change your perspective!
