I crack up every time I hear someone complain about teams paying players, like the church choir they root for didn't pay for their entire soprano section.

That is amplified when it's someone from the SEC.

Yes ND plays the NIL game. No, they don’t pay anywhere near most other top programs. They make sure everyone gets some but they don’t have the “$20 million roster” Ohio State has.

I don't believe that for one second. They pay just as much as everyone else, or they would get no transfers.

They spread it around more. They’re not paying “top dollar” for players. That’s why they rank in the 50’s-60’s in portal transfers. They target specific positions but they’re not making it rain. People weren’t clamoring for Riley Leonard who is making a lot less than other big name qb’s that have transferred.
