What did you like? What did you hate?

What are you keeping and improving upon?

For me, things I loved:
- On Campus playoff games. Greatness and so much better than neutral site for college football
- Expanded format (and not just because my team ended up winning). More teams is more fun to a certain extent

Things I hated:
- Automatic byes awarded to conference winners. Don't like byes that much in general, but if they were to exist they should have been awarded to highest ranks in the final poll, not defaulted to conference champs

Things I want to keep and improve on:
- Scheduling. Need to clean things up and try to reduce the time between regular season ending and CFP Final.
- Add reseeding to the brackets. Should reduce the chances of one side of the bracket being overly strong compared to the other.

Dream Scenario that just won't happen:
- CFP ends on Jan 1 at the Rose Bowl. Perfect setting for the college football title game every season.

I know lower levels have a permanent annual location, but I doubt that will go over well at the FBS level. Places like Atlanta, Dallas, New Orleans, Phoenix, will want to host (and collect all that revenue)

I think most people dislike the automatic byes but they aren't going away in the 12 teamer, it will stay that way until they go to 16.

Agree on the byes and re-seeding.

Good list, but don't see a Jan1. I could see something like this year being a Jan 11, with semi's being on Jan 1. Tying game to a date instead of a day is going to be really difficult to do though,.

I don't like the bye's. I do like the games on campus

I don't like that ND is not in a conference, but pretends to be in one when it suits them. I don't like that they played less games than their counterparts.

in summation, fuck ND

Go from 14 weeks to complete 12 games to 13 weeks.
Start a week earlier.

Your welcome

I think it was Joel Klatt who I first heard this from, but you can reduce the end of the season by a week pretty easily. Army-Navy is all alone on the schedule at the end of the year.

Move that game to the first game of the season. Use the current week used to bump up the CCGs and everything that follows by a week.

I like it on every front.

Am I understanding this correctly? Move the Army-Navy game to the front of the season?

Naw, hell naw

Army-Navy to kickoff football season would be pretty cool. I think the game gets more eyes too, as everyone is hungry for football to start.

What's the issue with that? Just because of tradition? I bet it would get a LOT more eyeballs if it is the first and only game to start a season as opposed to hiding it after all the other rivalry games on a weekend when quite a few fanbases have already checked out because they aren't bowl eligible.

Yup. First game of the season. Can have it's own stand alone week at the front of the season instead of at the back.

Can't think of a better way to kick off the CFP season.

yeah, it's all about the money. Will be really hard to do it, but having "Road to Pasadena" or "Road to the Rose" as the CFB motto just like the Road to Omaha is for college baseball would be pretty neat.

Eh Dallas just got screwed and lost our next turn for the CFP Natty to Tampa. Seems it is getting more like FIFA in that whomever pays the committee the most or gives the most perks gets the bid.

That checks out. I hate it, but it definitely makes sense in today's world of sports

Dallas came out and admitted it, we lost the 2029 because we wouldn't guarantee the "perks and payments" Tampa would.

Frisco, TX to host in 2035
Sadly can't tell if that is real or not. No place to play, so assume fake. But it is 10 years off so you never know :)

when perks and payments rule the world, Frisco, TX is king.
