Just got a notification that Alex Trebek has lost his battle with Pancreatic cancer and has passed away. He was only 80 years old.

This is very sad news for this long time Jeopardy fan, I will raise a toast to him in a couple of hours.

damn. knew it was coming, but still a gut-punch, nonetheless.

RIP Mr. Trebek, thank you for many years of entertainment and knowledge.
 
Upon his diagnosis I grimaced and said “death sentence”. He hung in longer than I had imagined, and I might have hoped once or twice he could beat it for a while. But, I knew that was statistically not realistic.

RIP. It’s just a game show....but he was the voice of something good for many many years.
