Luka to Lakers for AD

WTF is this? We get a worse contract, and AD is going to nope out of here ASAP. How the FUCK did we not get multiple first round picks for Luka?

I do think Luka is on the Zion track of always being overweight and his body isn't going to hold up, but he's worth more than this shitty return. :L

reportedly neither did Luka. guess they have seen how the game flows without him and decided to go with that. Lively needs the minutes AD is about to take.

I'm guessing another shoe drops, probably shipping Gafford out. Which sucks, I actually like his game. I was just saying to some buddies that I've had some pretty rough calf cramps and strains that take a couple of weeks to get back to normal, but Luka is now looking at a month and a half to two months for a calf strain. Either he isn't taking care of himself, not doing his rehab, or is sandbagging.

AD gives them a legit big and he can play his preferred spot, PF.

Irving, Klay, PJ, AD, Gafford/Lively is a pretty strong lineup for the next 3-4 years they have window to win it all.

That's my issue. We should have got back a ton of 1sts. We gave up more than what the Lakers did just to get Porzingas or Kyrie.

His extension that he is eligible for after this season is something like $340m. That would bring his contract total up to nearly $500m. I can see our FO either 1) Seeing that cost and his decline in health OR 2) Nico is about to accept a FO position with the lakers and making this trade.

I know you're not happy with it but in the short term it's a good deal for your Mavs and think you're better for a run this postseason.
 
Doncic was gonna leave in 2026. At least Mavs got something in return.

Luka is a fatty so i can understand the concern but to trade him at this point is insane.

Bronny James and the three white guys is a generational core once old man LeBron steps aside.
