Another shoe drops. From what I get on the espn site, quite a few Mavs fans are thoroughly pissed at the Doncic trade.
Apparently, some Mavs players are fed up also. See above.
You thought that was real, Dole?

So naive....LOL.

OKC just keeps winning.

I mean, the team that has given you almost half your losses this season appear to have gotten better for the next couple of years. We didn't need Luka to give you those losses either.

But Dallas is old. Let's see them beat the young Thunder in a series where Chet and Hartensrein olay.

No older than the team thats already beat you 3 of 4 times this year. Didn't have an issue beating you in a series last playoffs

And today we ship out Grimes(25) for an older Caleb Martin(29). Fun twist, Dallas and Philly play each other tonight. Wonder if each player will suit up and face their old team.

Nico is going all in on this year and next, not sure he has the depth for a run.

Again no Chet or Hart. That changes things.

Didn't change it last season in the playoffs. :noidea: We had no Luka for most of those wins, and now we will have AD.

Time will tell. I like what Dallas did but this changes their window from 10 years to 2 years. We will see how it shakes out.

This was a "win now" move by the Mavs. AD should fit seamlessly with Kyrie, has been playing at a near MVP and is a serious DPOY threat. So, the Mavs didn't exactly get fleeced. The Mavs are looking to win a title within the next 3 years with this move..

The Mavs have been wanting AD for several years and had approached the Lakers about AD over the years. Nothing ever happened because Luka was never on the table. Apparently, Mavs ownership had decided they were unwilling to pay Luka a max deal and told Nico to move him quickly and quietly. Nico knew that the Lakers would say yes because this time they're getting Luka.

Also, don't sleep on Max Christie, he is athletic and has developed into a good perimeter defender who is solid from 3. He's only 21 so he should continue to get better. I'm actually sorry that the Lakers lost him.

The one thing that would piss me off if I were a Mavs fan is that apparently, the Mavs initial request was AD, Max Christie, Dalton Knecht and the Lakers 2029 and 2031 1st round picks. Pelinka was able to talk him down to AD, Christie and the '29 first.

Unless Luka keeps breaking down, I agree that we traded 10 years for 2. I heard a great point this morning on the radio and that was Luka has been playing this level of basketball, against grown men, since he was 14. So he isn't your typical 25 year old that has maybe 2 or 3 years of wear on them, he has 11 years already.

Could Lebron teach him how to take care of himself and Luka actually listens to him? Sure. If so then Dallas screwed up bigger than even I thought. But if he continues to play out of shape then these injuries will continue to limit him. He will be a guy who needs regular rest in the season to try to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

To be honest if we could have just added DFS to the trade that would have helped a lot of fans. Everyone here is still pissed we gave him up.
