Winning is the one sure fire way to destroy a narrative. I do wonder if he’d still have a job had CFB still had the 4 team playoff and missing out after the Michigan lossWow what a difference a couple of months makes

Great question. Personally, and with nothing to base this on, I think he would have been brought back for next yearWinning is the one sure fire way to destroy a narrative. I do wonder if he’d still have a job had CFB still had the 4 team playoff and missing out after the Michigan loss
They are also okay with .500 vs OregonI guess Ohio State decided that a shot at an occasional natty is worth never beating Michigan for the next seven years.
Good for him. If I were him or any top CFB coach, I’d be trying like hell to land an NFL gig though
Kirby is fairly young too, but I don’t think the NFL interests him. I don’t know why, it’s way less of a workload than top level collegeIf he were to manage to win another natty he is gone, IMO. He is only 45.

There’s not much downside. If they go to the NFL and fail like Saban did, Kirby and Day could always come back to the college game and be the most sought after coach on the marketI feel like Kirby had an image of himself becoming the new Saban and dominating at the CFB level like Saban did.
It's gotta be in the back of his mind sometimes. It's the top of the profession you are in. There has got to be a part of you that wonders if you could do it, even if you are extremely comfy at the college level
ADs are stupid. Where is he going to go? If he did tOSU can have their pick.He would have still have a job but he certainly wouldn't be getting an extension

Yeah but if you have sustained success at a top tier program you can earn enough "fuck you" money in the college ranks, and you'd never have to pay for a meal or drink again in that town.Kirby is fairly young too, but I don’t think the NFL interests him.
