I'm going to use a rub called Watson Sand from Miller's Meat Market in Lowville NY.

@dikowt dowg have you used Watson Sand before?
 
I cook them roughly the same but I just lightly season them and then when they are cooked I add a heated mixture of Franks, my own hotter hot sauce, and butter then crank up the heat for about five minutes.

I'm making these for the team at work and what I'll do is heat them at work with the air fryer we have. Then they can each make their own serving and add the sauce they want.

Should work out pretty well I'm hoping.
 
To get them crispy pat them as dry as possible and coat them lightly with a mixture of baker powder and salt.

The baking powder pulls the moisture out and makes them crispy.

I'm going to do that next time but instead of salt I'll use the Watson Sand Rub that I have.

Then toss lightly at the end.
