Hopefully they do. If anyone else does, they'll be a 16 seed for sure. I can see HPU being like a 13 if they do win it.

This formats crazy. The 1 or 2 seed just has to win 2 games and they win the conference tourney. I have never noticed this one.

They've only been doing it since 2023. So it's fairly new for this league.

It's pretty interesting how the MVC tried to cherry pick the best teams from other mid major conferences, but still are only a 1 bid league.

Maaaybe 2 this year.

They did a good job plugging some of the gaps. Wichita State should consider returning. No chance of Creighton returning, obviously...

Yeah they've lost some good programs over the last 15 years or so. Wichita State, Creighton, Loyola and this is Missouri State's final season. Belmont, Murray State and Valpo were really good additions, but none have been able to replicate their success from their prior leagues. It also hasn't helped programs like Southern Illinois and Northern Iowa have fallen off. There were many years they were good enough to get at large bids. There was a time this was a 3 and sometimes 4 bid league. Those days appear to be over.

The MWC/Pac-12/whatever it will be has clearly separated itself. The MVC used to be the best mid major conference, but used to act like a mid major conference. MWC has always acted like a major conference.

I think the Valley wants Drake to lose so it can get 2 bids, that's gambling, but it should happen.

If Drake beats the #8/#9 winner I feel pretty confident about them getting a bid. If they get to the final they'd be 27-3(in D1 games) and losing to presumably Bradley/Northern Iowa would only be a Q2 loss. Of course if we have 5 bid stealers again, nothing is guaranteed.
