Funny thing is he was the 2nd option in SF since Purdy took over. BA was the 1st receiver until he got hurt and then Juan Jennings became the no. one guy. He ended up complaining he wasn't getting enough touches.One of the higher ups came from SF. I doubt this is a rental, so if they extend him the cap number will change.
Samuel isn't a #1 anymore. This move is to give them an option to take some heat off McLaurin. Zach Ertz and Olamide Zaccheaus were second and third in total receiving yards for the Commies last year. Their passing game needs options, and Deebo might thrive in a setting where he's coming in as the clear secondary option and there will be chances for him to operate in space.
