surprised this thread hasn't started yet.

-Hamilton out at FSU.
-UVa has an interim coach.
-Jim L out at Miami.
-nobody in the media wants to make a definite statement on Keatts' job secjurity at NCSU. rumor has it that Keatts' team has contacted a few mid-major programs to gauge interest.

I've got to think Hoiberg is out at Nebraska.

In 7 years he has the lowest overall (.437) and conference (.325) winning percentages since Jerry Bush in 1963.

Common sense would say Neptune is gone from Nova, but I can see him surviving.

I don't think the program wants to bring in a mercenary or an unscrupulous character.

Nova and UVA aren't the jobs they used to be.

The truth is that any school with decent NIL money and that isn't the middle of nowhere can bring in the right guy and be a Final 4 team in 3 years.

Mike Young staying at VT for at least one more year.

Starting to sound like Keatts is out at NCSU.

Wow. That's gonna be costly. Didn't his FF run last year guarantee him an extra couple years in his deal with a raise?
sometimes you just have to eat the contract.

but NCSU in the NIL-era has been baffling. i would think they would thrive with the new rules. its comical that the entire ACC seems to have been caught with their pants down in this new era...even the public school. just insane.

NCSU was a power from 1945-1990. Case. Sloan. Valvano. All three ran into trouble with the NCAA, tho. and the NCAA finally came down hard on them in 1990. scared them straight, tbh. but they haven't been much since then.

Yeah, outside of the fluke run last year, it's been pretty below avg for Keatts.

And yeah I'd agree it seems like outside of Duke and Louisville it seems like the rest of the ACC is lagging behind. Maybe Carolina has turned the corner now, who knows though.

I know NC State has a great history. Hell even with Sendek they routinely made the tournament in the early 2000's. The Lowe hire was a disaster and Gottfried and Keatts have just been meh. I think Will Wade would be a great hire for them.

he's done a great job at HPU.

Dawn Staley as the men’s basketball coach at Indiana!

Why not? :noidea:

Fran McCaffery out at Iowa

Kyle Neptune out at Villanova

Well this has been a week. (And it’s only Tuesday)

WVU's got a good track record of making hires. I think you'll get a good coach. Plus you have good resources. Still it does stink to lose DeVries after one season.

Indiana is going to have a NIL plan that tops 7 million. it's going to be hard to fail there going forward. this is probably going to turn out to be a damn good hire. i would have been 50/50 on this hire pre-NIL. just don't know how some mid-major coaches are going to pan out and he's never had a top 50 kp team.

we'll probably see some movement on NCSU and Virginia soon.

Hope so man, he is a good coach given what we had this year. This is a double whammy these last 48 hours

There are some good candidates. I'm curious if WVU would be able to pull someone from a P5 job? I think WVU is an underrated job. Some good mid major candidates would be Brian Wardle, Tony Skinn and Andy Toole. But would someone like Holtmann make sense? Like I said though, I think you'll get a pretty good coach.

Wade (NCSU) and Odom (UVA) would be my guesses. It'll be announced as soon as their current respective teams lose in the tourney

Will Wade and McCollum have gotten some traction but I expect both to choose other options. I mean to avoid this someone like Medved (wife’s from Motown) or Darius Nichols could make sense.
