The studio guys were talking about this on Tuesday, I believe; the refs are being graded in the early rounds and if they don't call stuff, there's a lesser chance that they will be allowed to ref the later round games, or the FF.

conference tourneys are hard to predict because the best teams that are locked into the 3-6 range don't go all out. That could be for health, for rest, or if you believe some tin foilers to help the bubble teams in the conference get into the dance.
