Wheels came off after the first inning of our LL game last night. Going to need to keep working with the pitchers.

Morning all

Kentucky was a lot of fun, I thought lexington had a pretty cool vibe

Saturday went a little overboard, toured three distilleries checked out a few cocktail bars and downtown lexington. Stopped at one hotel bar and ordered an old fashioned, he upsold us, then went, oh it's last call here (it was a hotel bar, so they closed early) do you want two? We stupidly said yes, that ended up being a $130 tab for 4 drinks. Never two fisted old fashions before, and never will again.

Sunday woke up feeling like a freight train hit me, but we made it Keeneland for horse racing. This may shock you, but it's much nicer track than the one here in MN. You'd see a lot of people dressed up in suits, girls in sundresses, even parents would dress up their kids. Place was PACKED. Didn't win any money but had a great time, hangover aside. Sunday night we just checked out a bar and dive bar called Chevy Chase Inn, which is not named for actor Chevy Chase.

Monday checked out Woodford reserve at 10:30, nothing like waking up and drinking bourbon. Woodford was a cool spot to check out, real neat distillery, all old limestone buildings. After that we headed to Frankfurt to check it out, then back to lexington. Buddy won $400 on pulltabs at bar, then ordered pour of Eagle Rare at the bar and said he was disappointed he couldn't find a bottle, bartender pulls out a new bottle, says $55 and my buddy found bourbon he was looking for

Flew back yesterday, got a nap in, now back to work. Looked at damage in bar tabs, not too bad all things considered. Saturday night was a bit of hit, but see my expensive old fashions. Going to give my liver couple weeks off and my waistline a break and eat healthy for next few weeks as well

Been there. I went out with two of my BFFs for drinks the day after Christmas. We went to a really nice local restaurant and were drinking Angel's Envy Rye manhattans. We knew they weren't going to be cheap, but when the bill came it was nearly $500 - the manhattans were $36 each.

looks like I might be folding my golf team this season and becoming a free agent in the league.

I don't think I will have any difficulty getting onto another team...and it will nice not captaining a team

Couldn't tell you.

I didn't ask questions, we just nodded

The HS alma mater wrestling coach stepped down. Used to like him until my brother got screwed over by him. Be interested to see who replaces him as 2 come to mind. 1 would be coming back to the program & I'd be excited. The other is an assistant & is ok but focuses too much on certain kids. Doubt it changes the youth coaches which is needed.

Also saturday night we're at this bar, and this young (well young to us) girl comes up and starts talking to us, didn't think much of it, just thought she was being a nice local and generally curious about why we were visiting.

She told us she was singer/songwriter, born and raised in lexington, we're like neat. But by this point I was already starting to get annoyed, I'm a midwesterner, we don't chat with strangers. And then the grift started, she goes on to say she's full time musician but doesn't pay the bills and she also works at the spearmint rhino and performs music and dances and strips, we should stop buy and say we're with her and they'll let us in for free. We had introduced ourselves already, and she texted our first names to put us on the "list". Shen then showed video of backroom clubs, and there were many times I should've just said, we're not going, move on, but also, as a midwesterner, I'm too polite and let her finish her sales pitch. And sure enough, the floor manager was there and she waived him over and he's telling us how great club is, how classy it is, etc. Then she looks over and goes, I'm going to have one more than head to work, I think she was thinking we'd add her drinks to our tab, we just nodded and said have fun/good luck or something.

I do wonder if we ended up with some of her drinks on our tab, we never offered or indicated to bartender we would, but we also didn't analyze our tab which may have been a mistake......

We went to next bar, played NBA Jam on acrade machine and did not go to spearment rhino
