Shedeur talked himself out of the top draft rounds by earlier interviews with NFL people that he was going to "change the culture" and "turn around" the team he goes to. That caused many teams to take his ass off the board during the draft.

Damn...NFL fined Falcons 250k and the assistant who's kid did the call 100k. Are we really that upset about a prank phone call?
You said that before.
That assistant should be fired for allowing his kid access to the records, intentionally or not.

Lol it was a phone number on an iPad not classified government documents. I'm sure it sucked for Shadeur and it piled on what was already a shitty day but 350k in fines is ridiculous. It's a fucking joke prank call at the end of the day

The Colorado quarterback slid all the way to the fifth round in the 2025 NFL draft. Now one fan is seeking damages from the NFL.
The filing alleges the NFL violated:
- The Sherman Antitrust Act because teams colluded to influence Sanders' fall to the fifth round;
- The Civil Rights Act because that fall "may have been influenced by racial discrimination"
- Consumer protection laws because the league misrepresented the "nature of the drafting process and qualifications of players."

First off, not sure the Sherman act applies here because the NFL has anti-trust exemption. Second, how can it be racial discrimination when a black man isn't drafted higher because other black men were? Third, the Consumer protection law has no basis here because no player was ever guaranteed to go in a specific order or to a specific team.
Lastly, this won't ever see a court because it will get tossed due to no standing by the fan or ability to show damage. I'm convinced the plaintiff here is a radio host or doing this all for a podcast.
