2024 / 2025 Champions League

Decent game today. Arsenal was having a little nap to start the game, but pick things up and we’re unfortunate not to tie it. PSG missed a couple as well, but it was a decent game.

No Partey hurt for Arsenal. Dembele got hurt for PSG. Hamstring so may be doubtful for second leg and Partey will be back in leg 2. So Arsenal still in this tie.
 
Pedri > Musiala. This is why Bayern desperate for Wirtz. Wirtz is Pedri. Musiala more of an attacking wing long term than midfielder unless he learns to be less selfish and try to dribble through 4 people and involve his team mates more.

Generational talent. Great article on ESPN+ about Mbappe the supposed Yamal before Yamal. Kind of scathing article. He is one of the worst players in Europe in regards to pressuring or when off the ball out of position. Absolutely zero defense and very hard to integrate into a team. Needs a specific group of individuals around him for it to work. This problem masked in Ligue 1, but now you see it since he stepped up to La Liga. Yeah he scored goals and a lot but not much else to his game. He has become the young version of the old Messi. No running at all.

Speaking of Messi, Vancouver absolutely obliterated Miami in Concacaf Champions league. It is a failing project in Miami. 4 old Mbappes who don’t run or play defense. Vancouver more like this seasons PSG. A full team vs a team with only 7 players who defend.
 
Watching the game yesterday I probably went. Wow!! Five or six times. Raphina also made me go Wow once or twice.

No Bayern playing but I’m really looking forward to both games next week.

Extra time. Yamal almost won it. Wild entertainment this game!!!! 3-3 and 6-6 overall, I hope no penalty kicks.
 
7-6 Inter. If Barca lose this they will regret letting that atrocious defense be this bad. Next season number 1 priority to upgrade this back line.

Me too. Classic Bob in big games. Comes on just before extra time misses point blank header. Bob probably won’t score 40 goals next season either. Will be 37 in August.
