Mad dad is laid up after knee replacement surgery, so I’m having to tend to his roosters and foxes have been slaughtering them.

I’ve trapped a couple, but I found 3 dens in the woods behind their house. Tried to flush em out with m90’s and shoot ‘em when they exit, but they either weren’t home or the explosion wasn’t enough to scare them out.

And they’re getting too smart for steel traps. I tied a bait hen up and surrounded it with steel traps. Fuckers got the hen and didn’t even trip one of the traps

Other than doing an all night stake out and blasting the fuckers, is there a good way to lure em in for an ambush or make em leave on their own?

They seem to be a lot smarter than the coyotes. Foxes used to be a pretty rare sight, but the fuckers are everywhere these days. I’m guessing they took hold in those woods because me, my dad and my brother pretty well eliminated coyotes from the area

Well, I was gonna say that coyotes should get ‘em but…

It might, but I don’t wanna lure in coyotes either.

The pens are pretty well raccoon, possum and bird of prey proof, but the foxes tunnel in, and the coyotes just tear through the wire

My dogs do a good job of keeping foxes away from my yard, but I also don't have a "free dinner" coup in my yard to attract them.

If it was my house, my beagle would have a field day, but the only dog my parents have is my mom’s Jack Russell. Jack Russells are great dogs, but this is is spoiled beyond belief and is pretty much a lap dog. Sweet as can be, loves my youngun, but she’s not good for chasing away varmits

I'm just picturing you shaking your fist while your old lady screams "The fox is on the town-oh!!!!"

Try contacting local wildlife control and see what they say

Absolutely not.
smelly shit works pretty good against most critters

Liquid Fence is some magic shit. Just don't get any on ya, or spill any indoors. Stinks to high hell.

When applied outdoors, humans can't really smell it after an hour or so, but the critters definitely can and they wznt nothing to do with it.

The only thing is, my deer stand is like 50 yards behind his chicken pens, and I don’t want deer to be scared off. They don’t have a garden minus a few mater plants. Just a bunch of game roosters and some hens

I don't know if would scare them away, but they won't cross it. I think it's pretty localized, but ya that could be an issue I suppose.

Fox urine is prolly yer best bet then.

If this trap configuration doesn’t work, that’s probably the next step.
