It's all in fun, for the most part. If a play legit costs a game, like the example I gave with the dodgers, then it is less "fun" but seeing as how important the clubhouse is in baseball players can't ignore it.so it is kind of official with legit judges presiding?
So "kind of official" could be accurate, but its mostly an informal process that usually is for fun. Not every clubhouse has one, but its ingrained in the history of baseball.
