TV Series The Righteous Gemstones

McBride announced the upcoming season will be the show's last. Said he and the writers felt it was a good place to end it.
 
Had no idea the 4th season started and saw something recently about the finale already aired.


Just watched the first episode of the 4th season and it was probably the best in the series despite having none of the characters in it.

It was a good episode, out of nowhere yet somehow worked.

The 4th season is more subdued than the previous seasons but solid overall. The finale ends up being a nice send off for the series.
 
Yeah I watched the 2nd and 3rd episode then and was instantly reminded of how little I really care for this show. It's such a substantial downgrade from Eastbound & Down and Vice Principles. Going to power my way through it though to the finale. But I'm very happy the show is over with and Danny McBride can create a new and hopefully better HBO show.
 
I thought the first two seasons were great, but then just lost interest.
 
Great series. Ending was hilarious.
 
Finale did a good job of wrapping it up. But the rest of the season sucked

This show is so much better all around that eastbound and down.

McBride gets better and better with his story telling and casting.

Gemstones is by far the worst show McBride has put out. Worst season of Eastbound & Down (final season) is far better than whatever you want to say the best season of Gemstones is. Vice Principals also a much better show than Gemstones.

Objectively it's true. Gemstones is ass. Eastbound & Down is one of the funniest shows ever made, if not the funniest show ever made.
