Yep. Looks like they circumvented their deal a little somewhat to make it happen. Without that clause Bama vs. FSU made all the sense in the world for 3:30.

I can see the East Coast issue. But damn, early season afternoon games in Texas suck to this old man because of the heat. Hell, early in the season, even the night games suck until half time.

overrated? what? yeah you know what's overrated? waking up early to enjoy tailgates at 7am in the morning.. i rather show up at 10 or 11 and really enjoy the tailgating before heading to the stadium around 6pm.

But we’re supposed to believe the tailgates are full at 11am for a night game?

I mean JFC I literally couldn’t get a beer at any place selling it around the stadium until after 1130, FOR A 2:30 GAME.

YES.. I was in Tuscaloosa for a primetime game.. we got there around 9-9:30 am.. went to the gameday set, then from there hit a bar for lunch, drinks and to watch TCU get beat by CU (well first half).. then we stayed at the tailgates for the rest of the afternoon til the buses arrived at the stadium.

tailgates were packed.

i was also in Austin for the UGA game.. didn't get into the stadium but was there for gameday and the tailgating was well underway from about 9am throughout the afternoon and evening.. WOuld have sucked major donkey balls had it been kicked at Noon (11am local).. however looking back, maybe that would have helped us ? :(

Went to the Kentucky game. Around DKR was bare around 11:15. Game kicked off at 2:30. Was very surprised.

On senior day? When you’re ranked #3? I know many long horn fans are pussies and they more than proved it that day but holy hell. It shouldn’t matter who the opponent is when it’s a conference game on senior day.
