Don’t try to convince me people are tailgating for a night game at 11am when they couldn’t even for a 2:30 game on senior day as the number 3 team.

How about you stop lying to yourself and others about Texas’ lack of atmosphere and pathetic excuse for tailgating.

we walked from gameday to a surly tailgate, then hit bevo blvd to take pics of my daughter with the golden hat.. we played games, ate some fire tacos al pastor..

but yeah.. we were the only ones out there..

They've had the Shamrock Series since like 2011? No there hasn't been a trophy. ND's uniforms are typically different for this. That's the only special thing they've done.

Correct. We've had Shamrock Series games against Miami, BC, ASU, Washington State, Navy, BYU etc. Last year it was the Army game. ND takes a home game and makes it a neutral site game.

My experience, less then 3 hours before a 2:30 game there was damn near no one around DKR and I was told I couldn’t get a beer yet at a tent outside the stadium on the north endzone. So I’m not really believing anyone is tailgating around DKR at 11 for a night game even if the reincarnation of the 85 Bears came rolling in.

We did not share similar experiences.

Don’t get me wrong Austin is cool and the whole weekend experience was fun. But I was very disappointed with the tailgate scene at DKR.
