2025 Scheduling Updates

he didn't get to Bevo Blvd til late.. lol he was on rainey st.. :)

keep coping :)

Not that it had to be, just that it wasn’t.

He also said he went to the beer garden 2 blocks away to tailgate and never gave a time when he was at bevis blvd. Bevis Blvd was packed, 45 MINUTES BEFORE KICKOFF.

This article didn’t do what you thought it would.

He talks about going to the Beer garden and tailgating there, a good 2 Blocks from the stadium.

Sorry not everyone is buying your bullshit lie of tailgating at 11am for a night game.

Suck it up buttercup, it’ll be ok

it wasn't a night game lol

I never said the Kentucky game was.

Why don't you start following the conversation.
wait.. how you gonna shit on a 11am tailgate at a 2:30pm kickoff (cause apparently no one showed up LOL)

but i literally went to a primetime kickoff and was tailgating at 11am (after watching the gameday show live).. and i wasn't alone.. and you gonna tell me that it's dead at 11 am for a kick? alright man.

JFC man, have you been lost this whole time? (you don’t have to answer that)

I’m telling you it’s very hard to imagine the multitude of people you want to claim tailgate at 11am for a night game when in my experience that didn’t happen for a 2:30 game. Understand yet?

the last time we went in there VY owned the place

LOL at thinking Fox was on board.. if they really were, they would have announced this game on a Sunday MONTHS ago.. lol. They just did a quick finesse move to let Texas take the heat after having congressmen/women make calls to their customer service line.

Texas Longhorns.. pushing around FOX, again :)

#HookEM
lol he won that game because our TE dropped a TD pass. I guess there's no reason for us to bother playing at Texas next year since Troy Smith came into town and wrecked you guys the last time we were there.

Why would they have announced it months ago when this wasn't even a conversation months ago? What a moronic post overall.

yeah yeah yeah.. and tosu only won cause our Nickel whiffed on an obvious screen pass to end the first half...

bro they said this game was being played on Saturday months ago.. why do you think people are flying in Friday and leaving Sunday morning??

You act like they just decided to put the game that saturday.. a little over 3 months from kickoff? C'mon man.. FOX never wanted to move this game.. they are just putting this on Texas knowing they were going to say no, so tosu fans can get off their backs..

** Tell Fox to move/switch the game to primetime.. Nobody cares about MLB that much to bitch about airing a game during the day instead

We won by 17, that whiff wasn't changing the outcome of the game. It's irrelevant to this year's game either way, but you opened that door.

Yes we all know this game was going to be Saturday. Then they announced Fox would have it, so now the response is centered around it being a bullshit noon kick. Have you not been keeping up? This is the entire problem. Your solution of "well just tell Fox to move the game" is reductionist to the point of laughter. Fox doesn't care as long as they get all the perceived ratings at noon that they expect. It's disgusting what they've done to Big Ten football in recent years. At least we're trying to remedy the issue and give the nation what they actually want.

I actually do think Fox is leaving some ratings on the table with this game specifically. I think this would have better ratings at night. However, the trade off is all the other Noon kickoffs will have better ratings because they are simply kicking off at Noon and the competition from other games is much less than the other tv windows.

Oh you're not wrong, that logic is sound. I'm not sure Fox sees it that way though. If they actually believed they would have better ratings with this as a night game they'd have it at night and move WVU/Pitt to Noon. Again, that's logical, but Fox is the worst.

Yep, Fox is 100% dead set on the big game of the week being a noon game, they are not going to budge on it either unless the ratings start really slipping, which they likely wont.

that was to my moronic statement about not announcing this months ago.. But good job in pressuring Fox to try and do this in the first place..

it's all good, just blame us like everyone else does.. and atleast come next season.. it will be primetime.. :)

Only way they would start doing that is if the SEC puts games that can actually challenge them in that noon spot.. which i really don't see happening. I think the SEC enjoys the 3:30 and 7:30 time slots for it's bigger matchups

it's weird though.. so they wanted to move it to Sunday night right? in the same window as LSU vs Clemson on ABC/ESPN.. think it would have done better ratings?

Yea I don't see the overall TV landscape changing very much in the near future.

It sucks for us because it's easy for them to just constantly throw Ohio State on at noon because they know its a layup for easy big views. I don't mind the noon games but I wish we had more later games.

bro, this goes back to my theory that unequal revenue is actually the better and most fair way to go. Letting schools like Purdue, IL, MD.. all get the same amount of money is laughable.. Y'all should be getting more money for all the noon kicks your fans have to suffer with.

I'm not sure what everyone else blames you for, as this seems like a pretty unprecedented move, but ok. Either way, Fox was absolutely on board with it (of course they would be), but Texas was the ones who didn't want to. Again, I don't blame them. Playing here at night would not be great for your boys.

I don't think it was the night game aspect as much as it was moving the game to Sunday instead of Saturday.

It would have been up against ND/Miami. Clemson vs. LSU is Saturday night primetime. I do think it would have done slightly better than if it were on Saturday, at any point. It would have been weird to have two Sunday night primetime games, but at this point I put nothing past the networks.
