I just developed it on one of those AI Coding sites. Thinking maybe trying it for this season. Pick username and fill out bracket. Only can pick a team once. You can search with alternate names or conference or the actual name.

If you want to know what I can do as admin and maybe want to be an admin, let me know. We could possibly just have one thread for the season for HooplaRankings.

If you have any possible suggestions to add to it or find any bugs to it, let me know. This week, I just want to test it, so I don't care if it is trolling, serious, random teams, testing alternate names, etc. I don't care if you post more than once with different IP addresses this week. I will test flag options on you though, which won't mean anything unless I delete you. Which I might do for testing reasons.

If you go to past weeks panel and see there are some there, I had the site auto generate past weeks to see what it was like. I can also toggle visibility of Team Rankings, User Submission List, and Individual Ballots in the Current Resutls Panel. I can even individually toggle individual ballots (I will keep them all visible for this week)

Things that are Nice:
- Auto-complete team names
- Checks for duplicates team entries

Nice to have:
- Drag and drop adjustments

Buggy
- Doesn't let you submit without entering something in the email bar. Entered in "N/A" and it let me submit

I was hoping that bug was fixed, i will just have it removed.

I will tell it to do a drag and drop function. Seems like a normal code function - like auto-complete.

Also, I am not a fan of the dark mode on it and it was understanding what I was asking, so I said screw it.
 
Adjustments that I am working on

- Email box deleted (still need to test to see if it will still ask for it)
- Blue box around text boxes
- In auto-complete, Tab button will choose the suggested choice
- I am working on drag and drop right now. Once the entry is filled, it goes into that function (with a nice delete button on the right that works), but when I drag it to a different spot, it is not working right. Trying to fix it.

Originally, if you dragged to a spot, it put a square around the entry you wanted to put it, but it was hard to tell if it was going above it or below it.

So I tried to get it where boxes moved and a preview bos showed, it was not working after about 5 attempts of correcting.

Now I am trying to just have it put a thick line in between entries.
 
I updated the page.

Removed Email box
Added Drag and Drop function
Improved the Auto-complete function (If you don't like the Auto-complete menu box on the top left, I can get it where it is below/above the text box of the entry)

If there are anything else that needs fixed (missing teams, added alternate names, bugs, conviences) let me know and I will see if I can fix it.

Ideas I have that I might try to include the first month once we get actual team results is
- Updated records
- Week's schedule and Prev week's results
- Look up individual team's schedules
- Track voter's history (you will be able to look up past ballots of yours)

If you can think of anything that could be helpful, let me know. I will see if I can get it to include it.
 
Were you looking for more than one? I tried your link, but it just brings up Taiko Tigers.

Looks like it is fixed. I am trying to avoid having to require passwords or emails. This also means it will be easy to post more than one ballot - which I am encouraging for these offseason testing weeks.

If it turns out multi-posting is an issue, I will start doing more secure ways (like having to register). But I am trusting we won't have that problem.

Thanks for the heads up. Can you let me know what username you're trying to use (guessing it is yours) and when the error pops up (e.g., during signup, posting, or voting)? That’ll help narrow it down quickly.

First I used Bunghole, then I tried again using DayButtAssMans's. It popped up when I clicked submit both times.

I couldn't find an option to sign up or do anything other than enter my name and rank teams, maybe that was the problem if I need to sign up first?

You should be able to use either of those names now. It wasn’t actually the names or a sign-in issue — the real problem was a server bug when trying to submit the ballot. That should be fixed now (fingers crossed). Try it out.

Give me a day — I’m also working on allowing multiple ballots during these early test weeks. I’m adding controls for inappropriate usernames too, so I (as admin) can manage them directly. Even though it hasn’t been a real issue yet, I’d rather have that control than not.

One thing I found out I can incorporate into the site (thanks to ChatGPT) is a Most Accurate Voter feature — tracking whose preseason poll ends up closest to the final rankings, or even tracking week-by-week accuracy during the season. If I can get it working, maybe the mods will allow a vCash reward for whoever nails it best.

I really like the idea, but I probably won’t dig into it until late July or early August. Honestly, I’m learning that even a “simple” ranking system is a lot of work. No idea how the people who actually know how to code manage this regularly.
 
There were issues when I woke up with the display.

@DayButtAssMans’s - It showed you have a Draft with "Bunghole" username. You only had #1 Georgia selected. It said you should be able to go there (with the same IP Address) and you should be signed in with Bunghole and be able to fill out the rest of the ballot. If you try in a different IP Address, "Bunghole" will not work but you would be able to do another ballot with a different username.

As for my ballot and @TaikoTiger ballot, it had it calculated in the team rankings but our individual ballots were not visible anymore, not even showing we posted one other than in team rankings. To fix it, our ballots got completely deleted and the problem should be fixed.
 
In the interest of science, I tried to fill one out.
Will not let me choose Fuck Iowa as a user name.
 
We are having some issues this morning and are going in circles,. One was the ability to control individual ballots ivisibility individually. The function never worked or when I turned it to hidden, it disappeared from admin visibility. I decided to scratch the idea. Either all will be visible or all will be hidden.

I think there are also issues with 1 ballot for 1 IP address, which I am working on now. How I am wanting it.
- If you submit a ballot, you cannot submit a 2nd one in the same IP Address
- If you submitted or saved a ballot and are in a different IP address, you cannot access the first ballot nor use the username. but could do another ballot.
