I'm getting a head start buying some board games for the inevitable second lockdown. Anyone have some favorites? It'll probably mostly be 2 people, but potentially 4 or 5.

Don't know how much help I can be, since we've been playing a lot of games that a five year old can play.

Wife and I used to like Boggle and Scrabble, before we had kids. Now, it's mostly Skip-Bo, Uno, and Sushi Go.

If you're inviting people over to play games then that's not really a lockdown is it?

Well, a forced "lockdown"

learn how to play chess

Stumps. If there’s no chance of anyone getting hurt, the game isn’t fun.

Soggy biscuit is another good one, and I’m a world champion soggy biscuit player

and nothing wrong with chess

even though I don't know how to play
Respectfully submitted:

Not knowing shit about something has never stopped you from being an expert about it before.

where do I need to be an expert in any of this?

I am just offering a suggestion of chess. I don't see any shame in knowing how to play chess

It’s a great drinking game. Not that I need a game to drink, but if I’m picking a drinking game, that’s my choice. But I get a lot of pushback on my suggestion of switching to a 9 pound sledge instead of that sissy claw hammer

I think we had a childrens claw hammer for Saturday.

but there was a 2 lb hammer sitting nearby that would have just killed some nails.
