Covid lockdown part 2 - board games

I like to have a puzzle going on in the background. A big, gnarly one that you can chip away at whenever you feel like it. Otherwise, I like Flanx, Quiddler, Exploding Kittens (NSFW & Family Friendly versions), Spot It, The Game and the aforementioned Bananagrams.

Exploding Kittens is fun.

I didn't like their Bears vs Babies game though...

I also have Unstable Unicorns

You need six people to make it great, but we got Telestrations a couple Christmases ago and it's hilarious. Its a combination of the telephone game and pictionary. Everybody starts with their own drawing board and marker. Everybody gets their own thing to draw. After you draw, you pass left, the next person writes what they think it is and the next person draws that and so forth.

Oooh! I just saw the Unicorn one earlier (looking for Christmas Eve games for the fam) and it looks like a good one. Plus, unicorns. Duh!

it's more strategy but it can be a lot of fun and absolute chaos.

and definitely get the NSFW expansion.

If you all lick the game boards before you play, you will have the antibodies

Jackbox (digital) games can be great party fun and can be played in your living room under appropriate social distancing guidelines using your own phones or tablets (there are no common-touch elements to it like cards and board game pieces). Recommended 4-8 players. Very simple rules and interfaces. Can be tears-level hilarious if you're playing with a good group. "Drawful", "Tee K.O." and "Quiplash" are three of my personal favorites.

Games – Jackbox Games

Can be purchased/downloaded/interfaced through any of these:

I wish my art skills were that good.

I'd be the best Telestrations After Dark player ever
It's always funny how you have the ambition to make a very clear drawing and then you realize you are drawing with a marker on a limited space.

going through the notepad after seeing what everyone thought you were trying to draw. It's a really entertaining game.

Bought that Hive game and Scythe looked interesting. We both like Risk, and it looks similar

Scythe does look like my kind of game
It was a little complicated to start. First game took a few+hours to understand the process of the game. Once you know it, you can strategize better, and it goes quicker
