Obviously all office rules aren't the same. I was just throwing out what the medical professionals I know all say. 14 days after a close encounter with a positive test. No testing out of the 14 days.

I'm not even saying to stop seeing people or doing things. But certainly once you've been exposed to a known case, it's not that hard to follow science. Hell, I'm currently in the people of one of those situations. Is it easy? Absolutely not. Should it be done? Absolutely.

This morning I did a teleconference with a toddler tugging on my leg asking for fruit snacks while getting my 1st grader ready for school and my middle schooler prepared for the first day of distance learning. Mr. Kobe was in the office leading a Zoom meeting of 150 primary care physicians. This shit sucks. But I'd like it to suck for a shorter period of time.

I understand what you're saying. But its just not going to happen that way. When I was at my old job and someone tested positive, we all had to get tested before we came back. But it just wasn't feasible to shut down for two weeks. Most of our job could be done from home, so sure, you could say everyone can go in and pick up your computers and go home. But one, its no where near efficient, and two it just isn't feasible to have to close down every single time someone test positive in the office. Or someone from the office lives with someone who tested positive. Not to mention, most people don't have jobs that can be done from home. It's just not practical for a large portion of people to sit out for two weeks (not saying it is for you either).
