I don't get the Back to the Future pick. I like them, but best ever? Not in order, but I think these are better.

Die Hard
Nolan Batmans
Indiana Jones
The Bourne Trilogy

Hell, it's been a while, but maybe even the Evil Dead movies.

I was trying to think back as far as I could and find what we would call a trilogy or series today.
I can't think of any, older than those Thin Man movies.

Has to be some though.

oh wait movies. LOTR? Hobbit? back to the future was better than the matrix. 2 and 3 kinda felt like they should have been 1 movie

Regardless, those are great.

My daughter loves them. The dialogue is like you're watching Moonlighting (Willis and Sheppard), but better.

I don't consider Indiana Jones or Die Hard trilogies.

The Bourne Trilogy is great though.

Back to the Future was an awesome trilogy. I just watched the first one a couple months ago and it's held up over the years extremely well.
 
Wayne's World had potential to be a great trilogy. Always thought they should have made a 3rd one 15-20 years later. The show has been long over and the movie would be Cassandra leaving Wayne and taking the kids because Wayne doesn't do anything and just sits around all day which has Wayne seeking out and finding Garth who is bald on the top of his head but still has long hair all around and works as a recluse postal worker or something. Wayne has to convince Garth to help him get Cassandra back by making Wayne's World a hit internet TV show.
