Is there anything more frustrating to a perfectionist than raking leaves...

I imagine it's similar to vacuuming and trying to get all the lines straight then realizing you need to walk on it eventually AND MESS IT ALL UP AGAIN!!

I once watched this lil downs syndrome kid trying to sweep up outside the front doors of the local donation center in like, 40 mph winds. The leaves and shit were cycloning up around him. lol. He was determined af, but he stood no chance. I watched him for a good ten minutes. lulz

I only rake a corner of my yard where leaves pile up high that I can't run a mower through.

Otherwise I just mow over 'em.

Blow off driveway, blow street on to lawn.

Run a rake around edges where leaves accumulate, then suck up with my mower. They get all nice and mulched and then I dump the bag down the hillside above my creek.

That's why I have hardwood floors.

I hate fall, or as I call it "empty the skimmers every hour season"

I literally spent an hour yesterday getting all of the leaves out of my pool and a hour later it looked like I hadn’t done a thing.

I picked a few out and emptied skimmers and the vac, but the tree in the corner is being a stubborn ass and hanging on to its leaves. So we will do this dance for at least another week. Normally it is more of an issue, but since I am remote working I'll at least be able to stay on top of it this fall.

I just pay the kids $20 next door to do it.
