Im up for demanding our Republican vs Democrats in congress begin this process. We could start with maybe Schumer and McConnell.

That's a fantastic idea, but I'm worried that preservation won't faithfully save them, since Schumer/McConnell are much older and decayed fossils than Triceratops/T-Rex.
 
T-rex would have a tough time defending itself with those little arms against a charging little tank.
