Covid symptoms late 2020

Sitting here on at least day 7 of this crap. Mostly feels like a head cold with sinus pressure. Needing to sneeze or feeling like it, feeling run down at times, and I cannot for the life of me taste or smell anything. Not even muh 10 minute shit after Turkey, stuffing and baked beans. Anyone else have this and when did the smell/taste come back?

What a virus the china folk created. Perfect to not harm the kids but take out some peeps on Trumps watch. At this point I just want to be able to taste muh dam steak and taters

Ya know i had a cold like this last october, took the good stuff pseudoephedrine laced shit for like 2 weeks things were normal after that. Of course this china virus didnt exist until january

We really haven’t had a lot of taste/smell issues in family that we know of. I think Mrs OEs ex husband said he couldn’t. But he also got hit with almost ALL the symptoms. He’s on day four in hospital and finally showing some improvements. Still hasn’t needed oxygen and is told he might be free by Tue/Wed if progress continues.

This thing isn’t a hoax. I’m also not one of those “close everything and hide at home types”. It’s just different things to different people.

My blood children (two oldest daughters) and I have hardly shown any symptoms. Everyone on Mrs OEs side has had it at least for a few days, except the 11 year old.

And that’s where all the politics and division just doesn’t help. I don’t know if masks work in public. I don’t know if its truly possible to catch it from each other in very brief public interaction. I think the lion share of cross infections is in shared homes.

I just know I never felt like I want to pass this to someone who wouldn’t do well with it, and I’m damn sure convinced of this now.

Hopefully it breaks out shortly for you and gets no worse than this. It’s a fucking bear and just feels like forever to kick, even with minor symptoms.

Sure as hell just seems to linger and not go away. I still can’t smell anything. Just weird. Hopefully it stays away from my lungs and I hope we don’t get it again here in a few months

As humans you would think we have to build up some immunity to this.

most Monday I felt it coming on so I hit the whiskey a bit and the cough went away. Had codeine later that night too

My hopeful thinking is that this eventually becomes like other coronavirus that cause a common cold now since they’ve been out there and human populations have dealt with them so long.

There has to be more coming from research on things like T cells that the body creates a learned response. While that isn’t immunity from catching it again, it should make it where catching it again is much more minor for most.

Agree with you...stay out of lungs and hopefully you’re not a long hauler who doesn’t get it horrid, but takes weeks to clear it. We are feeling out for long haulers in our family right now.
 
One of the daughters was just diagnosed with it. She's not having too many symptoms. But she lost her sense of taste and smell which she says is both annoying and weird. Having to quarantine for 10 days is going to drive her crazy.
 
Get well soon. We’ve had 4 people in our group of friends and family catch it. And those are just the ones being open about it.

Load up on vitamin D, C and Zinc. And I mean load up. Good luck.

Had it and recovered recently. Lost smell and most of taste and had lingering headaches.
2 weeks recovered and can barely smell anything (like a jar of pungent minced garlic barely registers). Can't smell wine or most other things. I Am taking small doses of zinc.

Still thankful it never went into my lungs. The no smell thing is weird and particularly shitty for my job (wine).
My sense of taste is better (food)

most vitamins if you take too much you just piss it out but Zinc is one you gotta be careful with. Vitamin A is another one to be carful with. Too much of it can be dangerous as well.
 
My lungs got all fucked up with pneumonia, but I never lost my sense of taste or smell.

Ugh. The pneumonia. Did you have to do any hospital?
 
I’m thinking I might have caught a touch of it finally. Only the nose. Not even greatly stuffed sinuses. Just runny and annoying.

Been reading more and more about blood type O (that’s me and my two girls, who haven’t shown any symptoms) and the lesser severity of COVID. Smell is mostly there. Taste is fine.

Its just a weird thing this bug.

people still get sick with normal flu & colds & what not.
Just because a person gets sick, doesnt mean it is covid.

6 days. Steroids antibiotics oxygen and plasma.

I had secondary pneumonia as well as viral pneumonia
