agree

and there are some dogs that require more attention than others.

I have had mine since he was a pup and he is pretty well trained...but that doesn't mean I trust him completely. He can still act like a shithead.

Hope you had a pleasant Thanksgiving.

I agree that brining is awesome. We do two turkeys, one roasted and one deep fried. We brine the roasted one, and then I slather an herb butter all over it and under the skin.

Usually, one of the turkeys is the clear favorite. Sometimes it's the roasted, sometimes it's the fried, but this year, they were both fucking awesome. Tie. Good stuff.

Congrats on still taking the effort to deep fry one.

Haven't done that for several years now.
 
i actually watched Chi/GB last night.

I'm not sure why that game wasn't flexed out of prime time

I turned that game off before rodgers went balls deep. The tip was enough for me.
 
Good morning good people. A shitty weekend. Really no football for me to watch. Ohio State cancelled again. Just a bummer.

I had the runs all day Friday. I just can't eat rich food anymore, and turkey isn't that rich. A good steak made with sauces and spices by a restaurant, left me with the runs for 2 days last March. Basically, I'm suppose to drink water and eat vegetables. That sucks.

Hopefully this will be a better week. Wife is going to want the tree put up soon. Oh well, take it out of the box and plug it in.

Thought for the day: I may be smiling, but in my head I'm Darth Vader.

neighbor does a deep fried turkey every year. At one point during the cook on thursday you could stand in my back yard and smell fried turkey, smoked turkey and the ham I had to put on my grill because we ran out of oven space. It was awesome.

It's a bit of a pain, but it's really good and my dad and I enjoy doing it together. Plus, I've started throwing in some potato wedges into the oil right after I take the turkey and they cook while the bird rests. People dig those. Really good.

Christmas decorations outside are almost done. Need to get a spotlight or 2 for the front and waiting on some lights for the back fence. Wife is still debating on putting an inflatable or something else on the deck roof.

Inside decorations are waiting on me painting the foyer. It was fun being up on an 18 foot ladder yesterday cutting in. Hoping to roll the walls today after work.

We got our decorations mostly done as well. Cut our tree on Saturday and the kids will put decorations in tonight. Then, done.
