the biggest laugh i got in the last week out of my parents was when my mom was on the phone with one of her friends for third time explaining to them why she told my brother she doesn't want him and his wife coming in from alaska but had me come up from VA for thanksgiving.

"he works from home, he lives by himself, he's not going out to any restaurants, he doesn't have any friends he's hanging out with"

looked at my dad, "You know, he's a real loser"

they moved this summer and i gues the wife is missing her friends back home and wants to come in for christmas. the amount of times they went up to pa over the years from maryland i was curious how they were going to cope with alaska. we'll see. also, i imagine flights are still pretty cheap.
