I friggin' hate timezones. They are so stupid! And we voted to get rid of daylight savings so why the hell haven't we implemented it yet?!

Tell me about it. The eastern time zone starts on the georgia state line here and I have friends who live here and work in Georgia. That shit's annoying.

That's all sorts of fucked up. I can't do the maths on this, but does that mean they work 8-5 but immediately lose an hour when they get home or is it opposite?

That reminds me of a story about a travel agent booking a flight for a lady. Don't remember the exact places, but something like Buffalo to Chicago. Departure time was like noon and arrival time was 12:05. Flight time was an hour but the lady did not understand the concept of time zones at all. Agent had to say that the plane flies really, really fast.

How does Houston rate vs. DFW or Frisco area? I hate traffic, I like water, I don't like hurricanes or tornadoes, I don't like extreme heat or humidity and I have mild seasonal allergies.

if they have 8-5 hours at work then it is really 7-4 Alabama time....which gets fucking annoying when you are asking someone what time they get off work. They'll say 5 or something then you hang up and you'll be like well fuck did he mean georgia time or alabama time?

it also fucking sucks when you are close to the state line and your phone starts picking up a cell tower across the line and the time changes on you.
