anyways...bachelor party round of golf tomorrow....right in the middle of the storms from the hurricane, so I don't expect that to go too well.

not sure if there is a backup plan. I hope the groom's brother has thought this through.

There's a house down the street from us that sounds similar. If I'm walking the dog in the early evening, they're usually in and around the garage, partying. On weekends, all day.

Cops were called there once this summer for a disturbance.

I'm just hoping if I get a smoker that it can do the job of my gas grill and get hot enough to grill steaks as well. Will probably just get rid of the gas grill if it does. I don't have the room for multiple grills on my deck.

Son makes decent steaks on his Traeger, but they're technically not "grilled".

I have a little vertical smoker that sits on the patio, doesn't take up much room and I roll it into the garage when not using it.

Gas grill sits on the deck right outside my back door.
 
Finally got a good night's sleep.

Good morning good people. It's National Fondue Day, and you have to eat that with a cocktail fork. Actually I made that up, and I doubt if too many of you have had the pleasure of fondue with a cocktail fork. It was great in the 1970's. I got 3 sets for my wedding. I used one, twice, and then threw all 3 out when it went out of fashion. Why I thought of this I have no idea.

Well believe it or not, there is a college football game scheduled for tomorrow. Austin pee at Central Arkansas. Unfortunately it's only available in Arkansas and Uzbekistan for some reason.

Another weekend is here. Last one before Labor Day and the unofficial end of Summer and the start of Fall. The kids go back to school and the football season starts. Not true, not true. I think it's the start of flu season. Hopefully that will cheer everyone up.

Thought for the day: Can this year get any worse, or is the best yet to come??
