That was my take from what I read. I imagine it was created out of necessity (poverty).
Yeah, it's pretty much griddle scrapings mixed with corn meal, made into a loaf, sliced, fried.

I always get some when we visit the mother-in-law

It amazes me how many people in this country see "NE" and don't know what it stands for.

" I'm sorry, what state is that? New England?"
That's Naine, right?

Pretty sure that's Naine

Shhh.... let their ignorance be our protection from their stupidity. We want them to flyover.

True for a lot of foods. Perhaps it will become elevated to respectability or haute cuisine, such as what happened with caviar, oxtail, chicken wings, and lobster. (Though olive loaf is still waiting patiently to be the Cinderella of the ball...)

Big Boss emailed me a bit ago because I was asking him about a meeting coming out of a trip he took the other day and whether he'd be able to attend it. His response:
As long as it isn't in a skiff.

So i'm thinking, "Uh... I thought you were moving to your new house, not out on a boat somewhere" and responded, "I think there’s a joke about needing a life jacket for this meeting in there!" hardy-har-har, me so clever & funny.

He responds, "No, it's an actual thing - a room specially designed for classified communications"

SCIF: Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility
(pronounced “skiff”), a U.S. Department of Defense term for a secure room. It can be a secure room or data center that guards against electronic surveillance and suppresses data leakage of sensitive security and military information. SCIFs are used to deny unauthorized personnel, such as foreign intelligence services or corporate spies, the opportunity for undetected entry into facilities for the exploitation of sensitive activities.

Apparently, someone on our internal legal team is in charge of securing and creating these things, so they're working on building one on or super close to campus. Dude said I could check it out when we're able to be back at work. I'mma try to live tweet or whatever it is the kids do from inside.

The Home Warranty? It's a good thing. Especially if your realtor offers to pay for it out of their commission.
