Woke up, and it's Wednesday

AMC theatres here are the most poorly managed businesses around.
One of them around here just went under, and got scooped up by another company.

I think the major thing will be spacing out the seating in the theater.

no snuggling up and making out during a flick these days.
I just booked a private screening of Elf for my family at the local Cinemark for while the kids are out of school. We can have up to twenty people, so we're probably going to invite some other families.

I'm gonna try to finger-bang Mrs Redfoot in the theater for old time's sake.

I was talking to someone about how they are letting people do that around here too

pretty cool idea, I guess

I mean, it's not...

Death isn't exactly an event where you walk around the office and say, "HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS?!"
when someone talks about death, it's pretty natural to talk about your own experience with it. It's how a lot of people relate.

the key is not to one up the person.

Oh I agree, but some people handle shit differently. It just makes it awkward. But I wouldn't consider it "making it about herself".

Ooof. Woman i work with lost her sister to suicide. Feel pretty bad for her, but its a little strange. Maybe don't go into every other office and go "Oh you didn't hear?" and start crying. I know people handle grieving differently, but its pretty awkward. Thankfully, I think work told her she could just go home until she is ready.

Ive seen that too. People use someone else’s tragedy to use for attention - whether purposely or not. She could be in shock or she could be a psychopath. Hard to watch.

So, going door-to-door in your office and saying, "oh you haven't heard?"...nah?
